What is an FDN-P

A Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN) Practitioner, denoted as FDN-P, is a healthcare professional trained in the field of functional medicine, which focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying causes of health issues rather than just treating symptoms. FDN-Ps are similar to other Functional Medicine Practitioners (such as ND's or Functional Medicine trained Chiropractors) in that they both adopt a holistic approach to healthcare, considering the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and environmental factors that influence an individual's health. Similar to other Functional Medicine Practitioners, FDN-Ps are trained to interpret blood chemistry panels and various functional lab tests, such as salivary hormone panels, digestive health assessments, and other diagnostic tools to identify imbalances and patterns that may be contributing to a patient's health concerns. However, unlike physicians such as Naturopathic Doctors, FDN-Ps do not diagnose and treat disease, rather - we uncover the root cause of disease and treat the imbalances and hidden stressors *causing* the disease, syndrom or symptoms that a patient is experiencing. FDN-P's use a range of therapies, including herbal medicine, nutrition, detox therapies and mind-body therapies.

What can I expect during my first appointment?

Your intake appointment is all about you. Your story, your history, what you want to achieve, and what I can do to help. We will deep dive into your current health challenge(s) and go over a thorough assessment of all biological systems (gut, hormones, immunity, energy/sleep, mental/emotional and more). From there, I am able to decipher what may be causing your symptoms, the types of labs I'd suggest (if needed), and any preliminary therapies we can get started on as we wait for your lab results to arrive.

How do I schedule my first appointment?

Head on over to our booking page here!

Do you accept one-off appointments?

I do! A la carte one off follow up appointments are available after you have been established as a new client. I also offer one off lab review appointments if you have had labs done within the past *three* months. I offer a la carte on a case by case basis, and usually for clients who have already farther along on their healing journey. I do also offer 4+ month programs for clients just starting out on their healing journey.

Do you offer payment plans?

I do! Payment plans can be discussed based on the type of program or treatment plan we decide to undergo together. I strive to make Functional Medicine Services as affordable as possible.

When will I be charged for my visits?

Your initial intake appointment fee is due at the time of booking, and all other subsequent appointments (lab review and follow ups) will be charged the day of your appointment. This is also the protocol for all programs to help break up payments for longer treatment plans.

Do you see patients in person and virtually?

I currently see all clients virtually. This means you get healing support in the comfort of your home!

Do you work with both men and women?

I do! I support many men with health concerns like low testosterone symptoms, gut conditions, weight loss, fertility, chronic illness, autoimmunity and more.

Do you work with pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women?

Yes, I see many clients who need fertility support, pregnancy support, and postpartum recovery. Many of my clients that come to me during their child free years continue care during pregnancy and beyond. I am very well versed in alternative therapies to support fertility, prenatal nutrition and symptom management, and postpartum recovery nutrition, safe herbals and more.
